I watched TV-Programme which is ” Secret Eaters ” on Channel4 yesterday.

The hidden cameras and private investigators haven’t been done before and they knew the cameras were in the house but didn’t know ssome cameras watching them. That’s what makes the show really funny.

How can they be putting on weight ? ・・・ of course, they eating a lot ! The problem is they don’t know how much eating, hou you eating, what time eating. They eating at sofa all the time at over night.

My husband and I don’t put sugar in the tea, he loves biscuits with tea but I don’t, ( UK people loves biscuits with tea ! ) I like chocolate but not much.

Well, I want to lose my weight because I putting on weight since I came in UK. I’m Asian, I mean, I’m Japanese so I use to eat Japanese HEALTHY food but it lose control now. Maybe I am secret eater recently because I eating a lot at outside ( coffee shop and so on ), not in house. If I eat chocolate fromt of husband, he must upset. If I don’t eat dinner that he makes, he must upset ( he loves cooking as you know ). He likes eat bisccuits on TEA TIME, that’s all.

I thought what dodgy eating habits me !! but I just like healthy food, but not European style.

Tomokazu Miura is still active screen and TV now. Then, their son, Yutaro Miura debut as singer yesterday and has an interview from TV-reportesr. Many reporters asked about Momoe Yamaguchi and he answered it like ” She is a magnanimous mum.”.

It was his debut interview so they shouldn’t ask about Momoe-san but she was too famous and also very popular. It must be hard for him ;;. I guess.

My husband saying to me ” Carry on. ” sometimes. I know this mean, ” continue “.

At gym, we taking spin class on weekend and instructor saying ” Keep going ! keep gping !! ” this is also ” continue “. Sometimes people say ” Go on.” . Well, what’s difference among ” carry on. ” , ” Keep going. ” and ” Go on. ” .

I know, but I can’t explain about how we use these sentence TO JAPANESE. we have many many synonym of Japanese-kanguage of course but we can’t explain about it for non-Japanese people. This is depend on situation or kind of nuance.

If instructor saying ” Carry on. ” ,,, it’s bit easy. ” Keep going !!, keep going !! ” is best (^^) for spin class. We could understand if you say something English if you say many situations and many times keep saying. It’s not logic.

And most important is ” keep smiling ! “.

I often hear western people likes Japanese women who isn’t beautiful in Japan. This story I heard from Japanese ! ( so I am not beautifulin Japan maybe ;;? ) Then, what about Burikko for western people ? Are they likes Burikko ?

Burikko mean not ” not beautiful ” but I’m just interested in how you thinking about brikko.

According to news, 20.8 % of children in the UK were living in single parent families.

UK law, both parents are equally responsible for providing financial support for their child regardless of whether they actively contribute to the child’s upbringing. This means that if you are raising your child alone, you are entitled to claim child maintenance payments from the non-residential parent.

The amount that you will receive is means-tested and will be based on a percentage of his or her income.

There is also help available for lone parents whose ex-partner has moved abroad as Britain has an arrangement with over 100 countries that allows a parent living in one country to claim maintenance from an ex-partner who lives in another.

My friend who is lone mum tried get job many time but couldn’t yet. That’s because she seeking gob is from 9am to 5pm and everybody seeking this time for intensively. She said it not easy to get a job and money from ex-husband are not good enough. She very worry about her future also children’s one.

She is neither British nor Japanese so she can’t back her country yet and she doesn’t want to back. I thought UK has very good system about this thing but we need to learn more !?

I like burdock root ( gobo in Japanese: ゴボウ ) and I need gobo because it good for constipation.

I’ll tell you about how to eat gobo in Japan. Kinpira Gobo, today.

Kinpira-gobo ( 金平ゴボウ)

250 g gobo, 2 tbs Japanese rice vinegar, 1 carrot ( peeled ), 1 or 2 tbs vegetable oil, 1 tbs sesami oil, 1 tbs sake, 2 tbs mirin, 2 tbs soy sauce.

Scrape the skin of gobo with sharp knife, then cut into 5cm pieces and finely julienne. Put the julienned strips into bowl with 625ml water and the rice vinegar. Leave for 15 min. to remove some of the bitterness from gobo. Drain well.

meanwhile, cut carrot into 5cm lengths, then finely julienne. Heat the vegetable and sesame oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat, then add gobo and carrot, stir to combine well with oil. Cook untill lightly golden.

Add the sake, mirin, and 1 tbs water to the pan and cook. Then add soy sauce and cook for further 2 min. Remove from the heat and sarve hot or spread out on a plate and allow to cool.

My husband doesn’t like any cool food, but Japanese believe some Japanese foods ( like this, or 煮物 ) are more tasty than hot.

I got a friend at Hot yoga studio in other town. She said she likes junk food ;; and she can’t stop eating food just because on diet. Actually when we went to coffee shop, she ate a muffin just after Hot Yoga. It must absorb to her body ( fat ? ).

But I thought it good because we should listen to our body, if I am hungry I eat, if I fancy some chocolate I go for it. I like chocolate. It make me happy, it made my tummy happy sometimes (^^) ( it meant, go to toilet. I have constipation ;;. ).

My husband doesn’t like if I was going to eat chocolate around 4pm ; ” you can’t eat dinner if you eat chocolate now. ” is his opinion but he eat chocolate AFTER dinner. I don’t know what is different bitween these ? I can eat dinner if I ate chocolate on 4pm.

I don’t need any biscuits when I drink cup of tea, but he need them. He always asked me ” Do you want to some biscuits ? ” ,,,,, I know, this is English way but we, Japanese can eat chocolate, rice-crackers, Japanese-sweets ( 和菓子 ) or cake with tea, not only biscuits. I think they ( maybe only my husband ? ) keep up a tradition too strong.

I want to eat anything for any time I want !! I like to eat chocolate around 4pm !

I did read a news that Mr. Hashimoto who is Osaka mayor thinking dismissal to staff members who has tatoo. Tattoo is a trand for Western people but the picture-tattoo is a symbol of Yakuza ( Japanese mafia ) in Japan.

Yakuza wear tatoo so Japanese people fear those with tattoo. However, many Japanese people wear tattoo just as fashion and it very small like only flower or asterisk ( star mark ) on shoulder or arm. Yakuza’s decorative tattoos which more than often encompass large areas of their body.

At public baths ( onsen ) and swimming pool there is a sign at the entrance “No Tatoos, please.” so they can’t enter it.

I’m not sure where Osaka staffs wear tattoo but Mayor : Hashimoto is bit strict. Of course I don’t have any tattoo on my body and I don’t like it because of painful when I get tattoo ;.
